Teachers are often put in situations that require more than just knowing the basic school rules.
Teachers are ultimately viewed as “perfect” in the eyes of their students; therefore, their demeanor should exemplify a high standard of ethical reasoning and protocol. Teachers are part of the educational world and should not participate in unethical behaviors which may deter the method of analyzing and reasoning of students.
Secondly, ethics refers to the study and development of one’s ethical standards.” As a person moulding the younger generation, a teacher has to act as a role model to protect the honour, culture and the discipline of the school while achieving educational goals with success due to sheer dedicated service to the teaching profession.A professional code of ethics outlines teachers' main responsibilities to their students and defines their role in students' lives. Above all, teachers must demonstrate integrity, impartiality and ethical behavior in the classroom and in their conduct with parents and coworkers.Ethics and morals are often associated with religion, but schools can also provide important lessons in ethical thinking and action. Teaching my students the importance of ethics will allow me to run a positive and successful class environment; where education is taken seriously, especially since it determines one's future.
